Max Order Assignments
In this section, you can configure the maximum amount of orders a driver can handle.
Enable auto-assignment
If you already have the auto-assign extension, you can enable it here and the system will automatically assign the closest driver available to the order once the business accepted it.
Auto assignment max distance
Here you set the maximum distance a driver can be from the business to be assigned automatically by the system. Remember that this distance is in KM.
There are a few conditions that the driver must meet so that the order can be auto-assigned.
Available: The driver must be available. This means that the driver has set himself to Available mode inside his delivery app.
The driver has max orders The driver must not exceed the maximum number of orders configured
Distance to the store: Our auto-assign functionality will detect the closest driver to the store where the order will be picked up.
Max distance: The driver must be inside the maximum distance that is specified.
What if an order is rejected?
If an order is rejected and there are more drivers available that match the conditions, then the order will be assigned to the next driver that is the closest to the store.
If there are no more drivers available the order status will be changed to accepted by business and no driver will be assigned. That way it can be manually assigned to a delivery driver.
