It's important that you know what is necessary and what are the steps to reach the final goal to get your business and apps to work!.
This is the basic information and resources that we need to create your test apps.
This is the way you can share the information and resources that we need to create your test apps.
We need access to your accounts to set up everything needed now and later on.
Here we will create your test apps.
We will guide you to set up this important function of your apps.
Here you have to test your apps being sure that is working as you want and need.
Set up everything to work as a real-world application, we are preparing everything to go live!
Here you have to set up all the information that will appear in the stores for your customers.
Here you have to send the information, images, and the app to the store for review.
This is an Apple and Google step, we just have to wait to get the resolution by email.
Now your apps are in the stores!
Step 1: Requirements to create Apps
First, we got to set up everything we need to create your apps. Remember that the creation of your apps doesn't mean that they will be in the stores, that will be the final step, and we will reach there, don't worry.
Google Maps API Key
Google Play Developer Account
App Store Developer Account
UDID
Home Background
Icon
Splash screen
Step 2: Fill up the forms to create your apps
In order to get all the information we need to create your apps, we will provide you with forms to fill, this will require information of your business and some information that you generate in the previous step, like the Google Maps API Key (very important in your project).
So please, fill up the forms, and we will get all the information and images needed to get started in your app's creation. These forms are sent by the Ordering Team according to your package
Please be sure to fill the following information correctly due to this will be critic data that we will use on the app creation:
Google Maps API Key: This is really important, the base of the delivery is this Key if you have any trouble creating it you can contact us on support
App Name: Please be sure that this will be the final name because any change in it may delay the process.
App Resources: These images are really important so your app will be branded, if you get the white label package but you don't provide us with images to replace the default ones, the Ordering logo still be showing on your apps. Also, keep in mind that these are the most important images to change, but you can change a lot more in your builder to personalize your application.
Step 3: Share your access to your developer account for Android and iOS
The best thing here is that you give us to access when you fill-up the forms, but besides this, Apple has a restriction on the personal accounts to add an administrator to generate the certificates. That's why we need access to your account, and we need to pass the Two-Factor Authenticator.
We will contact you to define a communication form (normally Skype or Ordering Livechat) so you can share the security code with us and grant us access to your account.
Why do I need to give you access to my account?
We know that a personal account is that, personal, and we don't want to make you share this with us if you don't feel comfortable. The answer to this question is that you don't need to share your account, but it is necessary to generate a few certificates to make your iOS apps work. If you trust us and don't want to make this process, you can share your account as mentioned before, but if you want to do it yourself, you can follow our help document to create the certificates.
Step 4: Creation of your apps (Estimated time: 10 business days)
On this step is where the magic starts, we generate your app, with your brand, images, and information fill in the previous forms. We will make this process and will contact you in case we need something to get this process as smooth as possible and avoid any delay. Please keep checking your email.
Step 5: Setting up the push notifications configuration (Estimated time: 1 business days)
We use services of One Signal to set up your notifications, we use a different configuration if you have just the Ordering App or if you have the 3 branded Apps, check the case that fits with your package:
If you have just the Ordering App: Here we will make all the configuration, so you can use the Business and Delivery App Ordering branded, just be sure to share with us the email that you want to use to manage your One Signal account and accept the invitation that you will receive by email.
If you have the 3 branded apps: Create an account on One Signal.
Then you have to make the configuration, here you will find a guide to do this > click here to see the guide
Or we can help you, just create a ticket and add your One Signal Account on it, user and password.
Step 6: Test your app
On this step, you will make a test to check that everything is working fine and as you want, this is a critical step, because if you need to change something, custom work, or something like that this is the moment to get it. On this step, we can spend as much time as you want so your app work as you and your business requires. Remember that to reach the final step we need to have final content, Apple and Google review this and will reject any app that has temporal, demo, and dummy content.
Step 7: Be sure to have final content in your Ordering Web
Before to get to the final step, we have to get final content, this is really important so Apple and Google can review your app, remember that they expect to see an app that will be delivered as it is for your customers.
We recommend you to be sure that the following content is configured and working:
1. Stores
All your stores should look like real stores, be sure to don't have active any demo/test store.
2. Products
Be sure that your stores have products, It is not necessary that be ALL the products, you can add or eliminate them later, but just be sure that you have enough to look like a running business.
3. Payment Methods
If you have activated payment methods like Stripe or PayPal, please be sure that they are configured and working. Also, if you request to add a Payment Gateway to your project, that this is done before proceeding to publish.
4. Custom works
If you have a custom work pending, please consider to don't upload your app yet, remember that if you make any change on the apps, you should upload a new version, maybe it's better to wait a little more for the custom work to be completed.
If you have a question on this point, you can always ask our support team, where? Click Here
Step 8: Setting up Listing information
Listings are the description of your App, it's named, it's a description in the marketplace, and screenshots.
Your app's listing on the Google Play Store or Apple Store is where most users will decide to install your app. It's therefore vital that your listing is as enticing as possible, highlighting your app's features and benefits to the full.
Now that everything is set up, we can start to get the information of your App, the first thing to do is prepare the Listing images.
Here you will find the required specifications:
For Apple: https://help.apple.com/app-store-connect/#/dev910472ff2
For Android: JPEG or 24-bit PNG (no alpha). Min length for any side: 320px. Max length for any side: 3840px.
At least 2 screenshots are required overall. Max 8 screenshots per type. Drag to reorder or to move between types.
Also, there are a few tools online that help you to do this, this is an example but you can use any you prefer.
Step 9: Upload Apps
Now that everything is set up, its time to upload your apps. A really easy and fast step if you did everything on the previous steps.
Step 10: Review by Apple and Google (ETA defined by the Stores)
Now that we send to review the apps, we have to wait. In this process, the store reviewers will check that your app work as you promote and is intended to. They will check for errors, bugs, or misconfigurations, that's why it is important to have all your final content and avoid any trouble.
Apple and Google will email you when everything is ready or if they find an error. Check this email to know what is the problem, and if it's something out of your control, you can always contact us for help.
Step 11: Published!
Great!, now that everything is set up and online, you can start to work!
FAQ
This is a really common question, and the answer is not always the same. In an optimal scenario, it will take 11 business days, but keep in mind that this could be delayed by a lot of external situations, please be sure to follow the steps on this document and you will not have any delay on the publication of your app.
The answer here is no.
Remember that the upload the apps to the store is the final step and it will be available for all the people, someone can download it and if you don't see a functional app, it will uninstall and maybe give you a bad review on the store, we don't want that!.
To test and show the app, you can use the test mode on your builder, this will work exactly in the same way as if you have the apps on the store. Now if your problem is to test on Apple devices, you can add up to 100 UDID's and this will allow you to install on test mode on all the devices you need, or use TestFlight for it.
