When creating a new importer, you can choose specifically which fields to import for the possible importer types.
For instance, you can create an importer for products and include the 'images' field, thus adding an image link for the product.
In this example, we will create a product importer with the following fields:
- external business ID
- external category ID
- external product ID
- name
- price
- description
- slug
- enabled
- images
- inventoried
- quantity
First, you need to access the importer's section in the dashboard, and then click on 'Add new importer'
Select the import type, in this case, "Product," and then add the fields for name and slug.
The remaining fields that you want to be imported for the new products should be added, numbering them in sequence. Afterward, click on 'Add' to save the new importer.
Download the example file, and you will notice that it contains the fields you have added in the importer.
In the following file, the data for the products to be imported has been added.
The products have been imported, and you can see that the inventory fields and product quantity have been updated according to the file
